Eliza is a third-year student at the University of Connecticut School of Law. She is a Connecticut native and graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2022 where she majored in Political Science. At UConn Law Eliza has served as the Vice President of the Women Law Students’ Association and recently completed the Insurance Law and Regulation Certificate. Eliza is broadly interested in insurance and health law and has enjoyed field placements at UConn Health’s Office of General Counsel as well as Connecticut’s Office of Health Strategy. In her free time Eliza enjoys reading fiction, playing pickleball with her family, and learning to golf!

Nicole is third-year day student at the University of Connecticut School of Law and is thrilled to be the Assistant Managing Editor of Volume 31 of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal.
During her 1L summer, Nicole worked as a Judicial Intern with the Family Court in Hartford under The Honorable Leo Diana. For her 2L summer, Nicole worked as a Law Clerk for insurance defense firm Nuzzo & Roberts. She looks forward to continue learning about insurance law and contributing to CILJ at UConn Law.
In her free time, Nicole is an active player on the UConn Law Softball Team and enjoys spending time with her friends and family!

Samantha is a third-year day student at the University of Connecticut School of Law. She is from Danbury, Connecticut, and graduated from Western Connecticut State University in 2021 with a degree in History and a minor in Justice and Law Administration. At UConn Law, Samantha has served as the Secretary of the Women Law Students’ Association and a Public Interest Law Group member. She spent her 1L summer interning in the Chambers of the Honorable S. Dave Vatti, Federal Magistrate Judge. Most recently, she worked as a summer associate at Wiggin and Dana. This year, she hopes to complete her insurance law certificate and looks forward to her continued work with the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal.

Lindsay is a third-year day student from Colchester, Connecticut. She graduated from Trinity College in 2021, where she earned a BA in Anthropology, summa cum laude, with a minor in legal studies. In addition to journal membership, she is a WLSA mentor, the secretary/outreach chair of the Health Law Society, and a Themis Student Representative on campus. Lindsay is interested in transactional, health, and insurance-related law. Most recently, she worked as a Summer Associate at Halloran & Sage, LLP in downtown Hartford. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Michael is a third-year day student from Southington, CT. Earlier in his academic career, he was an Honors Student at the University of Connecticut where he earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Accounting. Attending UConn Law has made him a Triple Husky.
This summer Michael worked at the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, where he was exposed to a variety of aspects of Tax Law. Additionally, he has recently passed all 4 of the CPA exams. This background gives him a broader foundation and helps with his ability to problem solve.
Currently, he is the Treasurer of the Business and Transaction Law Society, Vice President of the Tax Law Society, and Event’s Officer of the Veterans and Armed Forces Legal Outreach Society. Also, he is a Research Assistant for Professor Pomp and a member of the Tax Clinic.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys watching sports, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

My name is Esangubong Udoh, preferred name Esang Udoh. I am a 3L student at UConn School of Law. Between June 6, 2022—July 15, 2022, I worked as a summer legal intern at Robinson & Cole LLP. Now I currently work as a summer legal intern for Pratt and Whitney Canada through Raytheon Technologies until August 12, 2022. I look forward to using the research, writing, and editing skills I developed from my first year at UConn School of Law and my summer internships to help benefit the editorial team of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal.

Shaquille is a third-year day student at the University of Connecticut School of Law. He graduated from Fairfield University with a BA in Sociology and Philosophy. Prior to attending law school, Shaquille served as a paralegal in the Connecticut Army National Guard and completed two overseas tours.
While in law school, Shaquille has worked as a Corporate Litigation Intern at Travelers and a Captive Financial Analyst at the Connecticut Insurance Department – Captive Division. Currently, Shaquille is a Law Clerk at ACCEL Compliance where he works on insurance brokerage merger and acquisition transactions and insurance regulatory matters. In addition to pursuing his JD, Shaquille is also currently enrolled in both the MBA and FinTech MS programs at the University of Connecticut School of Business. He will complete both the Insurance Law and Regulation Certificate from the School of Law and the Corporate and Regulatory Compliance Certificate from the School of Business.
In his spare time, Shaquille enjoys hobbies such as writing, coding and powerlifting.

Rachel is a 3L student at UConn Law. She graduated from the New York Institute of Technology in 2021 where she majored in Biology.
Before attending law school, Rachel interned at an immigration law firm. During the summer of 2023, Rachel interned with the Center for Children’s Advocacy where she specialized in their Special Immigration Juvenile Status cases. At UConn Law, Rachel is the treasurer for the South Asian Law Students Association.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and friends, editing videos, and listening to music.

Tucker Alissi is a third-year day student at Uconn School of Law. Tucker grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut and attended Connecticut College where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Government and Philosophy and was a member of the Social Justice and Sustainability Pathway. Tucker captained the Men’s Rowing team his senior year and was a four-year member of the Club Hockey team.
Before law school Tucker worked as a legal intern at Updike, Kelly, and Spellacy P.C. and as an Insurance Compliance Analyst at Accel Law Group P.C. Throughout the summer of 2023 Tucker worked as a legal intern at the Office of the Attorney General in the Infrastructure and Economic Development Section.
In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym and traveling.

Autumn is a third-year day student at the University of Connecticut School of Law. She is from Seymour, Connecticut, and graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2022 with a degree in Marketing Management and a concentration in Digital Marketing and Analytics.
In addition to the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal, Autumn is the current Vice President of the Business and Transactional Law Group and Auction Chair of the Public Interest Law Group.
This past summer, Autumn was a courtroom clerk at the New Haven Superior Court, where she was exposed to civil and criminal procedures. In her spare time, Autumn enjoys reading and spending time with her dog Zeus.

Jim is a fourth-year evening division student from West Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated from Bryant University in 2014, where he earned a B.S. in Accounting and a minor in Mathematics. He also holds an active Certified Public Accountant license in Connecticut. Before law school, Jim worked as a Pension Consultant and oversaw the compliance of qualified retirement plans sponsored by small businesses.
In law school, Jim has been a student representative in the UConn School of Law Tax Clinic and has served as a legal extern in the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Court support offices. In 2023, Jim was a legal intern at The Travelers Companies where he worked on insurance coverage and extra-contractual litigation. This past summer, Jim worked as a Summer Associate at Finn Dixon & Herling LLP in Stamford, CT. Jim is currently a research assistant for Professor Richard Pomp.

Andrew Holland grew up in West Hartford, CT, and studied journalism at Fordham University in the Bronx, NY. He spent this summer interning at the Connecticut Claims Commissioner’s Office, which decides whether or not people have valid claims to sue the state of Connecticut.
In the future, Andrew hopes to work at a firm that specializes in either employment or insurance litigation. Outside of law school, Andrew enjoys playing tennis/pickleball, skiing, watching Boston sports, seeing Broadway shows, playing drums, and spending time with friends and family.

Caitlyn Myers is a second-year day student from Berlin, Massachusetts. Caitlyn graduated from Marist College in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in history and political science, as well as a paralegal certificate from the school’s ABA approved pre-professional program. While in college, Caitlyn acted as a teaching & research assistant for Dr. Michael Sullivan, focusing on the French and Haitian Revolution. She also acted as captain of the Marist College ultimate frisbee team.
Prior to attending law school Caitlyn worked for about two years as chief litigation paralegal to Attorney Weil of Doherty, Dugan, Cannon, Raymond, and Weil P.C., specializing in construction and complex commercial litigation. During her 1L summer, Caitlyn clerked for Nuzzo and Roberts LLC, specializing in insurance defense.
At the law school, Caitlyn is an active member of the Connecticut Moot Court Board, an active member of Women in Law Society, secretary of Negotiation and Dispute Resolution Society, outreach coordinator of Human Rights Law Association, and serves as TA for Civil Procedure with Professor Simon-Kerr. Caitlyn plans to complete her Insurance Law Certificate upon graduation and hopes it will aid her as she gains further experience in civil litigation matters.
In her free time Caitlyn enjoys ultimate frisbee, pickleball, standup paddle boarding, classical vocal performance, and epic fantasy novels.
