The Connecticut Insurance Law Journal accepts submissions throughout the year, and is currently seeking articles, essays, comments, and notes on insurance law and related areas for its upcoming issue.
The Journal is the country’s leading venue for traditional doctrinal scholarship in insurance law. It also has a long record of publishing broader work relating to risk and insurance. We welcome scholarship about current and important policy issues in insurance law, as well as work highlighting emerging insurance issues, new insurance products, insurance and public policy, insurance as governance, and early case law commentary. Our authors include leading scholars in law, sociology, philosophy, history, and economics. We have also published work by regulators, practitioners, and students.
Unlike most law reviews, the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal is peer-reviewed. Our peer review process is conducted on an expedited basis, and we typically make acceptance decisions within two weeks of receiving a submission. Once a submission has been accepted for publication, student editors will work closely with its author to prepare it for publication.
The Connecticut Insurance Law Journal prefers authors to submit their article electronically through Scholastica. However, CILJ also accepts submissions by email to cilj@uconn.edu.
